Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is the first game in which players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts student. The game will launch under Portkey Games, from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the games label dedicated to creating new Wizarding World mobile and video game experiences that place the player at.

Introduction

Dare you return to Hogwarts?

As a Young wizard-in training. Harry Potter Can't wait to leave the non-magical world behind and return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for his second year. But during the summer holidays, a most peculiar visitor appears in Harry's bedroom with a dire warning - disaster will strike if Harry returns to Hogwarts!

As the new term starts, this grave predication seems to be coming true. Strange and terrible events occur and Harry always seems to be nearly. Panic reigns, but nobody knows who - or - what - is to blame. Could Draco Malfoy be behind the attacks? Is Hagrid Involved ? Harry doesn't know whom to suspect but when his fellow pupils find out he can speak Parseltongue, he becomes the number-one- suspect!

With the help of his best friends, Ron and Hermione, it's up to Harry to solve the mystery and clear his name before another victim is claimed and Hogwarts is shut down for good!

Operating System - Mac OS 9.1 or later (OS X native)
Processor - 350 MHz G3 processor
Memory - 128 MB RAM
Videocard - ATI Rage 128 or later (16MB 3D accelerated video card or better)
HDD Space - 600 MB free hard disk space
CD ROM Speed - 4 Speed

Recommended Configuration:

Processor - 500 MHz or faster G3/G4
Memory - 256 MB RAM
Videocard - geForce 2mx or Radeon, or better
HDD Space - 600 MB free hard disk space

Improving Game Play Performance

Some machines will benefit from experimenting with your video/sound options:

- Try lowering the texture detail inside the 'Options' menu. This is particularly useful for computers with 128 MB of RAM.

- If your video resolution is greater than 640x480, try reducing it to 640x480 in 'Options' menu.

- If your color bit depth is 32 bits, try reducing it to16 bits in your video menu.

Other Issues
Remapping Keys:

If you remap the MAP key, you will need to use the ESC key to exit the map.

If you wish to restore the key mappings to their default value, you will need to delete the Game.INI file in your installed Harry Potter II folder. This will restore all key mappings to their default values.

There are certain key combinations, which can be mapped in both Quidditch and in normal game play. If you re-map these, the game shall function normally, but you might find it confusing. If you wish to restore to the default mappings, follow the instructions above on deleting the Game.ini file.

Note: Mac OS X users do not need to update, as this is an update for Mac OS 9.x users.

To install this update for Harry Potter CoS, simply copy the new application (titled 'HP OS 9') to your game folder for Chamber of Secrets.

Fixes in 1.0.1:

• Doors that were supposed to be locked are now properly locked (ie. Going into challenge doors before the challenge).
• Loss of video does not occur after Skurge challenge.
• The door to get the Bicorn horn in the dungeon works properly now.

This patch does not address the issue with the Silver Wizard cards sometimes not unlocking the Gold wizard challenge properly. We are still working on that issue, and when that is fixed, we will release a new update (1.0.1 final).

One known issue with this beta version of the update is that the performance seems to suffer at times (the game will get somewhat choppy). This will also be addressed when the final version of the update is released.
