The new song is quite familiar to those who remember the famous rap from Donkey Kong 64.

Joystick Mapper is an application for Mac OS X that lets you map keyboard keys, mouse axes, mouse buttons and mouse wheel to any mac compatible joystick or gamepad button/axis/hat. In other words: This App will let you play any game or use any app with any mac compatible joystick or gamepad, even the ones that are not compatible with joysticks.

Today, Playtonic Games released a new video for a song entitled “The Yooka-Laylee Rap!”. This song is meant to be a parody of the famous DK Rap that appeared originally in the opening for the Rare developed game Donkey Kong 64.

The creation of this video was made due to Yooka-Laylee passing a certain goal during their Kickstarter phase. If the project reached the monetary goal of £1,100,000 then it was promised that composer Grant Kirkhope would write a new song for the game. The Kickstarter ended up blowing past this goal and raised over £2,000,000 by the end of its run.

The new video is quite hilarious and introduces you to some of the various characters that you will see throughout your time in the game. It also contains a funny dig at previous Rare title Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Of course, Playtonic did end up releasing the video on April Fool’s Day, which I’m sure was purposeful. You can watch the video for yourself below to have a good chuckle. Yooka-Laylee releases on April 11, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Linux, and Mac before later being released for the Switch sometime later this year.
